Racocetra persica
(Koske & C. Walker) Oehl, F.A. Souza & Sieverd. (2008)
Basionyms and other popular names: Gigaspora persica Koske & C. Walker (1985)]
Racocetra persica is reported from 4 state(s) of India namely
Manipur, Orissa, Uttarakhand* and Kerala,
GPS location for which is shown in map. Data can also be searched by location by clicking distribution map in menu checklist. A conclusion about their occurrence has been drawn on basis of culture based studies (bibliography given below). Availability of live culture of Racocetra persica can be checked at Centre for Mycorrhizal Culture Collection (CMCC, TERI). Original description of Racocetra persica is available at
www.amf-phylogeny.com.
Taxonomically reliable and clean sequences spanning small subunit (SSU) rRNA, Internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and large subunit rRNA region isolated from live cultures of AM fungal spores of Racocetra persica
can be downloaded from genbank accession number (JN194177.1, AJ410740.1 and AJ410739.1). Maximum likelihood phylogenetic tree based on nuclear small subunit SSU, 5.8 ITS, LSU rRNA strict consensus sequences (>1000 bp) of the Indian Glomeromycota and other fungal lineages was used for inferring phylogeny. One representative each from Chytridiomycota, Zygomycota, Ascomycota and basidiomycota was used as circles depict bootstrap values (60-100%). Branches with < 60% bootstrap support were collapsed to polytomies. The scale bar indicates the number of substitutions per site. Interactive tree of life (itol, http://itol.embl.de/) was used for drawing the tree presented here. Phylogenetic data can also be searched for by clicking phylogenetic map in menu checklist. Sequences marked with * indicate sequences obtained in the present study.
